Kim Abraham Paintings & Early Work
The work of Kim abraham has evolved through many forms that most always work with a sense of place. He now mostly creates work in the studio, but sometimes also works outdoors and from nature as he did for many years. His experience teaching drawing often draws him back to working with a simple #2 pencil to discover the range of expressive marks that are possible.
These pieces that include a selection of some earlier work range in size from six inches to six feet and mediums range from oil to watercolor, gouache and graphite pencil. Some are large studio works and others are painted on location where themes of water, landscape, mountains, animals, insects, clouds, fog and intersecting organic shapes occur often.
