Themes of Kim's work has emerged in differing scale and medium works from 40”x40” on linen to 9”x11” on paper and 6"x6" works on copper and brass plate. Images of stars, Insects, trees, personal objects and landscape scenes share a common element of complicated spatial forms that interact and illustrate a sense of living and breathing places. The night sky or insect world is a stage for hundreds of tiny characters and elements that create a vibrant and energetic spectrum.
